DETERMINING REGISTRATION AGE FOR FALL SEASON
Age
Group Determination Chart
3 LEVELS OF PLAY
We offer 3 levels of play each season:
Recreational League (Fall and Spring) - This is our largest program for children age 4-16. Teams are based on the
player’s age as of August 1, 2008. No team requests will be taken at any division although coaches may be able to
select assistant coach if there are enough coaches for the division. Parent must volunteer to be an assistant
coach on the registration form to be eligible to be selected by a coach. Beginning at the U10 division, teams are
balanced based upon player ratings from the prior Fall season so that teams have comparable skill level. Players
in U10 and older divisions have an opportunity to be selected at the end of the Fall season to participate in an
All-Stars league that commences in January the following year.
Plus League (Fall only) - These are tournament level teams for more advanced players ages 8-13. Teams are based on
tryouts that are held in the Spring. Tryouts for Fall 2008 have already been held.
Select League (Spring only) - These are tournament level teams for more advanced players ages 8-13. Each team is
selected by the coach and must have the overall requisite skill level.
VIP (Fall and Spring) - This is our program for disabled players. VIP Program offers a special soccer experience
for players with permanent mental and/or physical disabilities (Autism, blood disorders, breathing difficulties,
hearing or sight problems, etc.). Assistive devices are allowed and there is no upper age limit for VIP players.
Skills Clinic:
Commencing for the first time this Fall, we are introducing a Friday night skills clinic. The clinic will be run by
certified/professional soccer coaches and players. To participate in the skills clinic children must be registered
in our Recreational, Select or Plus leagues. There is a separate fee of $40 for the skills clinic. This clinic can
be used by coaches in the U8 and lower divisions in lieu of their weekly practice and should improve the overall
quality of play in our region. For U10 and older divisions, this clinic can replace one of the weekly practices. It
is highly recommended that all coaches attend the clinic and observe the drills and directions provided to the
players. Plus teams are strongly encourage to attend to either replace one practice or supplement their two
practices.

ON-LINE REGISTRATION FROM AND PAYMENT PROCEDURES
Go to https://ayso57.d4sportsreg.com
This is a new website for registration forms and payments. A new account needs to be established for each player
even if you have previously registered with us.
If your child played 2007/2008 All Stars, 2008 Spring Recreation or 2008 Spring Select and you registered online:
log in as an “existing player”.
If your child played in one of these programs and you completed paperwork at registration, your child’s data may
been added by a volunteer: try logging in as an existing player with your email address (all lower case) and the
last 4 digits of your phone as the password. If this doesn’t work enter as a new player.
All other children, even if they played in Fall 2007, will be considered new players for the purpose of the
new registration system.
Forms are completed and payments are made online. A printable form is available by pressing the form button
after you complete the payment. If you have amounts outstanding from another season these amounts will be applied
before fees are applied to the Fall season. Please mail 2 signed copies of the forms to
AYSO Region 57, P.O. Box 1077, Corona del Mar, CA 92662.
